Project 2(b)

We had a presentation for project 2(b). It was a group work too. We had to use our previous work (which was the project of landscape of rural, suburban, and urban) to make a presentation. At first, it was difficult to make slides for presentation, but our tutor, Ms.Ida gave us some advice. She said that we could do it together so that it would not look confuse to the audiences.

On the presentation day, we wore formal clothes to look more professional. We were very nervous, but we tried to calm each other down. However, we managed to overcome our fear of presentation. In this presentation, I leant that we have to speak out clearly to the audiences to make them understand the things we present. We also have to make our slides short and simple. We do not have to put more words in it, and we must add some pictures or photos to look more interesting.  

Project 2(a)

For our project 2(a), it was a group project that related to rural, suburban, and urban. Our group consists of 7 members. Our group leader, Krystle Ong had divided the works equally. We had chosen Pulau Ketam as rural area, Shah Alam as suburban area, and Petaling Jaya Trade Centre as urban area. We then compiled our information together after we visited these places.

A Visit To MASSA

Our ENBE lecturers had invited us to visit MASSA. According to our lecturers, MASSA is a research unit of school of architecture and buildings. It is located in Taylor’s Lakeside Campus. I saw various models that were made by students who took the study of architecture. They were gorgeous to look. I could not imagine on how they spent their time doing these models. I was very impressed on their works of making models. 

Project 1

For my first project in ENBE, I had done four postcards that related to Kuantan, Pahang. The reason I chosen this place was because Kuantan is the place my father born. We always go there to celebrate Chinese New Year and other festivals. And so, this place has become my most memorable place.

I presented my project to my tutor, Ms.Ida about simple introduction of the scenery and buildings in Kuantan.

ICI Project 2

For the project 2, we prepared a video of the issues made by the construction industry. We were required to record a video about 8 to 10 minutes. This project is a group project, so my group included Lim Chong Min, Teoh Hui Yu, Karen Ngiam Yik Ting, Wee Boon Bing, Adrian Seow Chen Wah, and me. Our title is “Problems in Construction Project”.

In this project, I have learned a lot about construction industry. Now I know that, they also have various problems that will occur in the constructions. 

ICI Project

In this subject, Puan Hasmanira has given us project to do. For our project 1(a), our title named “My place, my memory”; while for project 1(b), the tltle named “Construction Industry”.

Project 2: Rube Goldberg Machine (Switching off alarm clock)

Put the marble into the upper hole. The marble will bang to the other marbles, and the last position of a marble will roll away. The rolling marble knocks the cardboards. Then, the cardboards fall in one direction. When the last cardboard fall and press the plastic paper, the plastic paperis being press down, and the opposite side goes up, then it push up the other plastic paper. The marble that been placed on the plastic plastic paper then fall to the stairs. After the stairs, the marble slide down, then it knock off the alarm clock.
