Aims and
Accomplishments
The intended learning outcomes of this
assignment is to help students to have ability of observing the item and
situations clearly, and write a descriptive about it. For this assignment, we
have to pick one tool in our house and observe it using our five senses (listen,
sight, touch, smell, taste), then write an essay about it. I had chosen a
plastic mug as my tool, because sharp and dangerous tools such as knife are not
allowed to be observed.

When I started my observations, I stared at the plastic mug,
looking at it in different angles, smelling at it, listening to it, and touch
it with my hands. After many hours of the observations, I observed many things
that I usually do not notice at, and I quickly jotted the observations down in
a piece of paper.
Reflections
In my real life, I did not notice different things that I used, or
things that I saw in my surroundings. However, I can observe everything
carefully using my free time. Nowadays, I will observe the mini cacti I bought
when I feel bored. Due to this assignment, my observation skills have been
improved.
